In 2010, Frazer Mennonite Church celebrated it's 100th anninversary. As a part of the yearlong centennial celebration several events were planned

  • Starting in January 2010, every 2nd Sunday of the month, the morning Sunday worship serivce featured a decade of our history. Darvin Martin was present for all but 1 sunday to read excerpts from his work-in-progress book and to rouse interest in the celebration.

  • Each sunday bulletin in 2010 featured an extra insert with selected experts from past bulletins and announcements.

  • On Sunday, May 9, 2010 a special Sunday morning service to recognize the 100 year anniversary took place. This was close to the actual May 1, 1910 date of services in the first church.

  • On Saturday, June 12, 2010 a Bible School Reunion was held. The church was filled with photos, home movies, Bible School memoralbia, even the original cards with attenders attendance records were availabe.

  • On Friday, Saturday and Sunday , October 15 - 17, 2010 the main celebration weekend occurred. Some key highlights were the book release of FMC's history researched and written by Darvin L. Martin, author, reputable historian and genealogist from Lancaster County. See the book info below. Also taking place were a hymn sing, a sharing memories panel discussion with former pastors and bishops, the showing of the An Audio-Visual Who's Who of FMC History which was prepared in 2000 by the late K. Varden Leasa highlighting the first 90 years, a self-guided tour of FMC landmarks in the area, and a special Sunday church service and fellowship meal. See more details as described in the December 2010 FMC newsletter.
